“Salon” is in my blood. My Mother and her sister started their salon in 1978 which makes me a second-generation stylist. I grew up in the industry but when I started, I wasn’t fully
convinced that the hair industry was for me. About 5 years in, it all clicked. I knew this was my passion. Just shy of 20 years later and I have seen every aspect of this Industry. I’ve been the newbie, the educator, the hair show coordinator, the manager, the owner. With all those experiences what always kept me coming back to working behind the chair was the opportunity to see how it made people feel to visually get to experience the most authentic version of themselves. It makes my heart smile in ways I didn’t know existed. This industry has taught me what it means to genuinely hold space for people. Meeting human beings where they are on their journey is an honor I will cherish always.
 
Oddly, for this industry, I’m an introvert. This means I don’t do well holding court or talking to a large group of folks. Where I truly shine is working one on one with individuals. So this industry is perfect. Today, I’ve transitioned into a private studio where I can truly give my guests the individualized attention they deserve. This transition has been exciting and scary all at the same time, but my passion for the industry is anew. Spirit recharged and soul engaged.
